AAZK meeting minutes 11-6-08

Auction Friday December 12, 2008

• Posters- we have some posters made up to advertise the auction, we are asking people who know of a business or some public place that would be willing to put a poster up for us to please contact Stephanie Miller or Roz Sealy at TRF.
• Need people to contact businesses see the AAZK folder for business that have already been contacted.
• There will be an ad in the Stranger next month, a poster on Queen Anne News, and the N. Seattle Herald website advertising the auction
• Auction will be open all day noon-8, first 50 people in after 4 will get a grab bag
• Need volunteers for bag filling, contact Steph
• Steph will send an e-mail asking for volunteers for the auction to sing up for duties and times.
• Food Steve will meet with Aramark next week to discuss what they can do for us,
• Conservation tables- anyone interested?
• Tours- need animal experiences, go to zoonet, on the lower right side there is an animal management service request link, then click on tour matrix, choose one of the tours, contact your CM to clear it with them and then let Roz know what tour you picked to donate and the description/limitations. If you donate a tour more info will follow on redemption process. If you donate a tour you are committing yourself to give the tour, not someone else.
• Joanna had an idea about animal placemats for a fund raiser- a placemat with either a collection of animals i.e.: TRF or a group of animals i.e.: elephants or gorillas.
