Present: Carolyn Austin, Stephanie Forbes, Beth Carlyle-Askew, Wendy Gardner, Peter McLane, Jennifer Murphy

    • Jennifer Murphy is the new committee chair for the Pre/Post Trips
    • Cookies at the All-Staff Meeting were a huge success – a special shout-out goes out to Carolyn, Amy, Steve, and everyone else who participated!
    • We need to purchase a table at the SLC Conference for all our pamphlets and the like – we decide to go with the 8 foot table at $100.00
    • We received a nice Thank You letter from the Utah AAZK for our participation in the Chapter Challenge – now we are thinking we should get some nice thank you notes with our logo – if you’ve got any ideas, let us know.
    • We got word that we are able to modify soda prices – they are currently at $.65 and will go up to $.75
    • Hugh will raise money for the Membeli Bei at the Gorilla event on the 11 th. All checks will be made out to AAZK and we will turn around and cut one check to Membeli Bei.
    • Pt Defiance has confirmed they will help us with the ICZ by sponsoring a trip to their zoo. The trip has been worked in to the conference agenda the day of the Ice Breaker. Pt Defiance is sponsoring transportation, sack lunches and admission to their zoo.
    • The art show proposal has been approved, we are currently checking out venues.
    • The Vice Chairs for the Conference are: Amy, Nathan, Norah, Pat and Steve
    • Our AAZK Holiday Auction will be held the weekend of December 11-13 this year in the Ed Center – moving it to this date means we won’t be competing with an event being done by Salty Dog
      • We plan on sending out Save The Dates via email and postcard
    • Next Fundraisers are thrive! and Bunny Bounce.
      • We are considering doing another Earth Day Book Sale – we are currently checking rooms and dates
        • Candlelight Fundraiser – considering this…involves very little work. Person comes to zoo to sell candles in the Ed Center and we end up getting approximately 40% of the sales. The average person spends about $50.00 on these candles, which means we get approximately $20.00.
        • Bunny Bounce – candy will be provided by Events and we will have a bunny costume for someone to wear (more than likely it will be Bill)
        • We will try to have ICZ Registration info up on the website by April 1 st
