Puget Sound AAZK Chapter Annual Silent Auction

– Up-close animal encounters among auction items –

WHAT:

The Puget Sound Chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK) holds its annual silent auction in time for the holiday season. Bid on a variety of interesting and one-of-a-kind items from around the world, including opportunities to meet zoo animals behind the scenes.

Proceeds will be used for conservation efforts, to help facilitate research programs and zookeeper professional development, and to help fund the AAZK/International Congress on Zookeeping International Conference being held at Woodland Park Zoo in 2009.

WHEN:

Friday, November 30

Guaranteed bids and bake sale: noon-2:00 p.m.

Silent auction and some hot food items: 4:00-8:00 p.m.

Bid closings: 5:30 , 6:15 and 7:00 p.m.

WHERE:

Woodland Park Zoo Education Center near the South Entrance at N. 50 th St. & Fremont Ave. N. Free parking after 4:00 p.m.

COST:

Free. Entry to the auction does not require zoo admission fee.
