Travel Grant Information

The Professional Travel Grants are designed to assist individual Zoo Keepers with costs associated with attending the International Congress on Zookeeping. The applicant must be able to demonstrate:

1) The value of participating in the Congress; and

2) How their attendance will contribute to the development of professional Zoo Keeping in their region.

No fixed sum is available for assistance, and partial or full assistance will be awarded dependent upon the funds available for distribution, the number and prioritization of applicants for the grant, and the specific needs and resources available to the individual applicant.

Applications from both new and experienced keepers will be evaluated on their merit, based on the applicant’s submission of all requested materials. All applicants are encouraged to solicit additional funds from their institution or other sources.

Successful grant applicants will be asked to write an article describing their experience at the ICZ for the association’s newsletter.
