This tour begins traveling north from Seattle and then east via
the North Cascades Highway into the northern regions of one of
the largest wilderness corridors in the united States.
The
first day will include a stop at a large scale organic food operation,
Cascadian Farms natural. Next stop is the Skagit hydroelectric
project for lunch and short tour. Then it’s on to the North
cascades national park visitor center and then a short walk at
Washington pass. Overnight will be in Winthrop Washington.
The
tour continues the next day traveling along the methow river
toward the Columbia river, the fourth largest river in the united
states. Lunch will be at rocky reach dam with a short tour of
the fish ladder. Then it’s on to ohme gardens for a short
tour. Overnight will be in the Bavarian inspired town of Leavenworth
Washington.
The tour continues the next day by traveling over stevens pass
(elevation: 4061 ft.) and then to Wallace falls state park with
a hike to the falls, arriving back in seattle in the late afternoon.
