Travel by bus , one hour south, to Tacoma Washington and spend the day as the guest of Pt. Defiance Zoo and Aquarium. Meet the staff and enjoy behind the scene tours. Lunch will be provided. Return to Seattle in time for the beginning of conference registration.

Day Trip to Mt. Rainier National Park

Travel by bus to Mt. Rainier National Park enjoying the changing scenic vistas along the way. Lunch on your own at the world renowned Whittaker School of Mountaineering, where an 30 minute slide presentation takes you on a visual journey to the summit, presented by a professional mountain guide. Continue on to the Paradise Visitors Center, lingering at several scenic lookout points and gaze at crashing waterfalls, diverse plant life and the snow capped summit. The loop tour continues following a different route back to Seattle.

Take the Amtrak Cascades to Portland Oregon and then Portland’s TriMet to the Oregon Zoo. Then take the TriMet to the world famous Powells Bookstore and then back to Seattle on the Amtrak Cascades.
