I, Michelle Triplett, attended Arizona State University from 1997-2001 and received a B.S. in Conservation Biology with minors in History and Spanish. While in school I studied abroad in Ecuador , studying tropical biology at the Jatun Sacha reserve. After school I interned at the Cincinnati Zoo in the Cat House and Education Department. Following my internship I spent two summers as a seasonal keeper at the Cat Ambassador Program at the Cincinnati Zoo. The next step in my career I moved back to Phoenix and interned at the Phoenix Zoo with the elephants. Soon there after, I was hired on as a Trail Guide in the education department there. Then I was able to join the Hoofstock/Birds trail where I worked mostly with hoofstock and participated in training programs for giraffe, warthogs, and rhinos. I was also the hoofstock representative on the Behavioral Enrichment Committee. Presently I am a Night Keeper at the Louisville Zoo which includes exhibit and animal checks throughout the night.
