Brendan Walsh is from Dublin and is a primate and sea-lion keeper at Dublin Zoo. He holds a Higher Diploma in Animal Science and a B S/c Degree in Animal Management.

His main interest is great apes and has been a member of the ABWAK council for four years.

Brendan enjoyed his travels around the world in 2006, which included visits to Indian, Malaysian, Thai, Australian, New Zealand and South American zoos and national parks. He also worked as a primate keeper at the National Zoo and Aquarium, and volunteered at Elephant Nature Park , and the Gibbon Rehabilitation Project in Thailand .

He has been fortunate to attend all three ICZs and is a big advocate of the enjoyable congresses!
