• A competent professional with 24 years qualitative experience as Veterinary Officer.Serving as zoo veterinarian for 05 years in M.C.Zoological Park , Chhatbir, Punjab .
• A through professional and competent planner in health monitoring, disease diagnosis, hygiene and sanitary measures practice, prophylaxis and treatment of zoo animals and birds, tranquilizing injured or sick animals, advocating breeding programmes and population control measures in the zoo.
• Well developed skill in demonstration, handling and use of tranquilizing gun for darting the animals.

• Participated in 05 training programmes & workshop organized by Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun & Central Zoo Authority, New Delhi on different occasion.
• Participated in 04 seminars & conferences organized by Central Zoo Authority, New Delhi for professional upkeep & acquaintance with latest diagnostic techniques for zoo.

Career Highlights

• Zoo Vet. implemented with success for 1st time breeding of Gharial hatchings in Chhatbir zoo and monitored their subsequent rearing upto 01 years age.
• Successfully hand reared a rejected cub of white tiger upto02 in the zoo hospital and published an article. "Hand rearing of white tiger cub in captivity" published in International Zoo book,2008.
• Successfully conducted zoo keepers training programme in Dec 2007 as programme project coordinator
• Conducted and imparted demonstration of Tranquilizing gun to 25 Delegates from all over India-Training camp organized by CZA, New Delhi .
• Guided and monitored research project of a Veterinary Graduate thesis on "Incidence & Epidemology of Ectoparasites in various animals at Chhatbir zoo".
• Monitored and assisted successful conservation breeding programme of elephant, gharial , chinkara , chausingha, and red jungle fowl in Chhatbir zoo.
• Zoo vet has implanted passive transponders on 09 Wild Origin Elephants for identification purpose in free ranging situation .
