Dr Andrew G. Seguya is the Executive Director of the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre in Entebbe . The Centre works to educate Ugandans about the benefits of conserving Uganda ’s biodiversity for sustainable development; is a rescue and rehabilitation centre for injured and confiscated wildlife; is a captive breeding centre for Uganda ’s endangered wildlife.

Dr Seguya is a veterinarian by profession with a degree in Veterinary Medicine ( Makerere University , Uganda ) and a Masters of Veterinary Science ( University of Melbourne , Australia ). Dr Seguya also has an MBA degree (De Montfort University, United Kingdom ) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation ( Stellenbosch University , South Africa ).

Dr Seguya has taught veterinary medicine at Makerere University (1992-2000); worked as a Senior State Veterinarian in Botswana (2000-2005) and is now the CEO of UWEC since 2005. He has practiced as a Veterinary medicine in Uganda and Botswana and across both domestic and wildlife species of animals.
