Born and raised in Kenya , Richard Moller is currently the Chief Conservation Officer for the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in northern Kenya . He has been in this role for over 10 years. On Lewa, Richard is responsible for the overall direction, management and development of the wildlife and security operations, with a special emphasis on the endangered black rhino population. Wildlife capture and translocation form a large part of Lewa’s wildlife programmes and Richard has been involved in moving hundreds of many different types of wildlife.

Richard has a team of about 150 employees under him, mostly wildlife rangers and wildlife security personnel. He is an experienced bush pilot, with over 2,000 hours of flying under his belt. He has a diploma in mechanical engineering and is an Honorary Warden to the Kenya Wildlife Service. He is fluent in English and Kiswahili.
