Began animal experience with a marine mammal internship working with dolphins and river otters at CMA in FL. After graduating with a degree in Biology from UWW, transitioned into the field through working at a small zoo, along with volunteering her time at Racine Zoo, WI. Hired for Lead Carnivores at Racine Zoo, worked two years then moved onto a larger zoo, that being Kansas City Zoo. Worked with a variety of Australasian species, (from mammals to birds) for 2 years before transitioning once again, to ABQ BioPark, NM in August 2007. Just received a promotion in July 2009 to Senior Keeper and made the decision to move from the Primate Team to the Bird Team. Hobbies include rock climbing, camping, hiking, travel, and drinking the local vino. Living in NM at this time allows for a plethora of all hobbies – but really lacks in the water department. She is missing water Desperately! Also hopes to eventually work once again with her favorite mammal- the otters!!
