Erin Hunt is the General Manager at the California Wolf Center , a 501(c)(3) nonprofit wildlife education center in Julian , CA . She manages paid staff, volunteers, and interns and oversees the operation of the 50-acre facility. While focusing on development and fundraising, she is also involved in animal care and education. She was on-site caretaker at the California Wolf Center for two years, during which time she gained experience observing animal behavior and capturing and handling animals. She has participated in research on conditioned taste aversion and behavioral responses to y-poles. She is working toward a B.S. in Ecology, Behavior, and Evolution at the University of California at San Diego .

Bonnie McDonald is the Facilities Manager at the California Wolf Center in Julian , CA . She helps manage the daily care and maintenance of non-socialized Alaskan and Mexican gray wolves and also assists with public education. She has five years of experience working as a veterinary technician and has participated in research on conditioned taste aversion and behavioral responses to y-poles. In March of 2009, she participated in the Yellowstone Wolf Project’s winter wolf predation study as a volunteer field technician. She recently began volunteering at the San Diego Natural History Museum to assist in retagging 50,000 wet specimens in a herpetology department renovation. She has completed a B.S. in General Biology at the University of California at San Diego .

Dan Moriarty, Professor, is Chair of the Psychology Department. He is Professor of Comparative Biological Psychology and has been a member of the USD Department of Psychology since 1973. He completed a B.A. in psychology at Louisiana State University in New Orleans , and the M.S. and Ph.D. in experimental psychology at Tulane University . His interests are in the areas of animal behavior and learning, and he teaches courses in those areas and in Research Methods, Statistics, and Behavioral Genetics. As a director and animal behaviorist at the California Wolf Center , Dr. Moriarty is involved in research with, and management and breeding of, captive wolves, including the highly endangered Mexican Gray Wolf. His other research has included studies of predator defense behavior, partial reinforcement and reward contrast effects, and conditioned taste aversion.
